To come up with “Top Companies in the Arab World 2015” ranking list, we analyzed 1,245 listed companies in Arab Stock Markets – excluding those based in countries experiencing political strife or war, and not counting companies that fail to report audited 2014 financial statements , Forbes Middle East started with net 897 companies that reported profits during 2014 to rank the companies according to revenues, net earnings, assets, and market valuation, with each metric equally weighted. The company with the highest composite score ranked first. The one with the lowest score ranked 200th--our cut-off , Market capitalization is based on April 1, 2015 closing prices, and all figures were converted to U.S. dollars on that day's exchange rate.
