Randa Bessiso, Director of The University of Manchester, Middle East, one of the panelists at Forbes Higher Education Awards event, spoke to us at the sidelines about her perspective on the future of the sector and what makes her institute unique.
“The higher education sector is flourishing, especially here in Dubai, where we operate at the regional business and education hub. We’re blessed to be operating in one of the most exciting cities in the world to work and live, and we work out of Dubai International Academic city and Dubai Knowledge Park, which is the first – and so far, only - purpose built free-zone for higher education providers. It’s an exciting time for universities and business communities.
"Alliance Manchester Business School, part of The University of Manchester, which is home to 25 Noble prize winners, part of the prestigious Russel Group of universities. It has been operating in the region since 2006. We have helped and supported more than 2500 part time MBA students form the region, they come from diversified backgrounds of more than 100 nationalities.
"Not only the ranking and accreditation of our global MBA program is what makes it unique, but also the ‘Manchester Method’ of learning by doing, the ability to network with like minded working professionals.”
