Robin Williams' Collection Of Possessions To Be Auctioned For Charity

On October 4th, brokers house Sotheby's will hold an auction of pieces from the late Robin Williams and his former wife Marsha Williams' personal collection. Sotheby's announced that the proceeds from the auction will benefit various charities that were supported by the late actor and his former spouse.

The collection features some unique and dynamic pieces that include fine art, movie memorabilia, and wristwatches. According to Sotheby's, the collection "will offer works spanning Marsha’s and Robin’s diverse interests and careers, all reflecting their shared passion for collecting." On September 29th, there will be an exhibition of the items that will be open to the public at Sotheby’s in New York.

Highlighting the auction will be items like a Hogwarts School Gryffindor robe worn by Daniel Radcliffe in “Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone” movie that is estimated to make between $10,000 to $15,000. Also in the collection is a Deborah Butterfield horse sculpture (estimated at $220,000 to $280,000) and a white gold Tonneau-form Tourbillon wristwatch (estimated at $25,000 to $35,000).

The Oscar winner's Hollywood Walk of Fame award will also be presented at auction and is estimated to reach between $3,000 to $5,000.
