Billionaire Kylie Jenner surprised a women’s empowerment organization Nest of Love (NoL) with a grand sum of $750,000 as well as $250,000 to two New York City natives as financial aid last week.
Kicking off the 17th season, Jenner appeared on the season premiere of the Ellen DeGeneres show with mother Kris Jenner, in what marked the Kylie Cosmetics founder’s first sit-down interview since giving birth to daughter Stormi Webster. At 22, celebrity-turned-makeup mogul Kylie Jenner is the youngest self-made billionaire ever according to Forbes and also ranks as the second-highest-paid celebrity globally after Taylor Swift.
After learning about the work done by the women’s group NoL, the mother-daughter duo wanted to give back to the charitable cause with a total donation of $750,000 to the organization. Kylie gifted each member of the South Florida-based group with her Kylie Cosmetics Birthday collection as well as $50,000. NoL’s founder Samantha Gil was given an exclusive $100,000.
The nonprofit brings young women together each week to empower them through mentoring, spiritual guidance and wellness programs, committed to lead women from every culture and ethnicity to become a leader. “We admire you all so much”, said 63-year-old Kris, the ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ matriarch.
Ashley and mom Mireya Almonte were the recipients of $100,000 each to help fund services in their school for deprived and homeless children. Another $50,000 was given to first-grade teacher Mireya’s school P.S. 35. The daughter and single mother duo were struggling personally, inspiring the youngest Jenner to action the aid.
DeGeneres had partnered with Kylie throughout the premiere week of her show to give away a total of $1 million. The donations came from a portion of the proceeds of the Kylie Cosmetics Birthday Collection, which launched in August. Jenner, who started out peddling $29 lip kits in 2015, sold an estimated $360 million worth of Kylie Cosmetics in 2018. Thanks to its super-low overheads and massive sales, today the company is worth at least $900 million, in which Jenner owns a 100% stake.
