Attorneys representing singer Miley Cyrus filed a motion in Los Angeles federal court to dismiss a lawsuit claiming her song “Flowers” lifts lyrics and melodies from the 2013 Bruno Mars song “When I Was Your Man,” arguing the lawsuit should be tossed because it only represents one of the song’s four writers—and not Mars.
