<p class="MsoNormal">Shares of Chinese electric vehicle (EV) giant BYD Company Ltd jumped 4.3% to a record high Tuesday after the company unveiled a new battery technology that allows vehicle owners to charge their cars as quickly as refueling a conventional vehicle.</p>
