<p class="MsoNormal">Demand for passenger air travel in May dropped by 62.7% as compared to May 2019, while still marginally better than 65.2% decline recorded in April 2021 versus two years ago, according new data by the International Air Transport Association's (IATA). International travel was the hardest hit as a result of extensive travel restrictions, falling 85.1% below the pre-pandemic level of May 2019, despite growth in every region except Asia-Pacific, where new variants are causing surges in coronavirus infections. </p><p class="MsoNormal"></p>
