The economies of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) are expected to expand by 5.9% overall in 2022, with expectations to see strong fiscal and external surpluses thanks to expected gains from the hydrocarbon and non-hydrocarbon sector, according to a May report by the World Bank.
