Education Will Take Place in the Workplace
Hossam Hamdy, Chancellor of Gulf Medical University, joined us for our Forbes Higher Education Awards event. On the sidelines, he spoke to us about how it is integrating technology into its teaching.

“The future depends on having teams who are looking after the patient. They need a special set of competences, which we prepare them early on to achieve.

"We are unique in having integrated our hospital alongside our university with academia and research, so technology is an integral part of what we are doing. We use AI for education in a very smart, technology-enhanced campus.

"In the future, there will not be typical classrooms as today, learning will take place everywhere and anywhere, the students will be trained and working in the proper work environment, and that is what we are doing presently at Gulf Medical University.”
