The US declared it would not permit international students to remain in the country if all of their classes are scheduled to go remote because of the coronavirus crisis. The ICE guidance applies to students holding the F-1 and M-1 visas, issued for academic and vocational purposes respectively. In 2018, most overseas students enrolled in the US came from China, followed by India, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, and Canada.
