TotalEnergies is moving crude oil through the Strait of Hormuz at a profit, buying Iraqi and Qatari barrels at $50 to $60 per barrel against a Brent price above $90, with the steep discount from producers desperate to sell more than covering the $10 per barrel cost of hiring ships willing to make the crossing.
