Zhang launched Verge in 2015 and quickly built a company that caught the eye of investors and luminaries in genetics alike. In 2017 Zhang was a member of the Forbes 30 Under 30 Science list, and this year Verge was a member of Forbes’ AI 50 list. The company has raised $54 million to date, and has a valuation of $60 million.
