The Norwegian Nobel Committee has called for peace in Ethiopia where Prime Minister and 2019 Nobel Peace Prize winner Abiy Ahmed has come under fire since launching a military campaign against the country’s dissident northern region Tigray. The Nobel Committee said it is the responsibility of all the involved parties to end the escalating violence and solve disagreements and conflicts by peaceful means.
