As the most followed athlete on social media, with nearly 400 million total followers, award-winning Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo is in a very comfortable position.

According to the Instagram Rich List 2019 compiled by HopperHQ, one sponsored post on the player’s Instagram platform is estimated to cost $975,000. Ranking third in the overall global rich Instagrammers list, Ronaldo is also the only male appearing the top five, falling just behind Kylie Jenner and Ariana Grande.

Considering Juventus sold 520,000 Ronaldo jerseys worth $60 million within 24 hours, it is clear the 34-year-old charming player still maintains his loyal following. With a net worth of $109 million, numerous endorsements and a lucrative Instagram side hustle, the single ex-Real Madrid celebrity seems to have an endless pool of money. Here is what he does with his multimillion-dollar fortune.

Real estate

The Juventus star enjoys splashing out on his homes. He owns a $7.1 million villa in La Finca, designed by celebrity architect Joaquin Torres, an exclusive community in Madrid and an $18.5 million apartment in New York’s Trump Tower. In 2015, Ronaldo invested a whopping $40 million in the Pestana Hotel Group.


A car fanatic, the football player reportedly has an envious collection boasting Porsches, Bentleys, Rolls-Royces and Ferraris. Embellished with his iconic CR7 logo is Ronaldo’s custom Bugatti Chiron, estimated at a bargain price point of $3 million. His $17 million Gulfstream G200 private jet also features the same personalization, which he partly uses to market his CR7 Footwear label. The twin-engined aircraft can host eight-ten passengers, fitted with amenities including electric oven, internet access and an entertainment system.

Business ventures

Aside from his dedicated training and competing hours, CR7 Mens Underwear, CR7 Footwear,  Cristiano Ronaldo Fragrances and a chain of restaurants in Brazil are just a few things that the entrepreneur delves into. Following the success of his underwear line, Cristiano developed the brand to include other clothing items aimed at men and boys. The brand also maintains a physical presence through its boutiques in Madeira and Lisbon, Portugal. A collaboration with Denali Home led to an exclusive collection of CR7 microplush blankets, targeted at hard-core fans to be used while watching matches.


The football player is heavily involved in charity, donating to multiple causes and foundations over his years of fame. In 2013, he was appointed a Global Artist Ambassador for Save The Children.

A keepsake Ronaldo

Following a visit to the Madrid’s Museum of Wax, which hosts the athlete’s first-ever waxwork, in 2015 the footballer reportedly paid $24,600 to hire sculptor Michael Wade to create a life-size model of himself to keep with him at home.
