The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has handed a five-year suspension to Confederation of African Football (CAF) President Ahmad Ahmad for corruption. The world’s football governing body also fined Ahmed $220,000 for the irregularities related to “the organisation and financing of an Umrah pilgrimage to Mecca” and his involvement in CAF’s dealings with a sports equipment company.
