At 21, Ihab founded SmartGov, a “think-and-do tank” driving public sector reform and innovation through research, policy insights, and tech solutions. It partnered with municipalities via the Smart Municipality Initiative, fully digitizing Ras Maska Municipality. SmartGov has collaborated with 15 local and international organizations and funders, including CIVICUS Alliance, OECD, the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the EU, the U.S. State Department, and the International Republican Institute. It has implemented six projects with support from seven funders, securing over $2.2 million in combined direct and consortium funding.
