TAQA Arabia is a private sector group in energy distribution and integrated services. It serves more than 1.7 million customers with natural gas, electricity, renewable energy, petroleum products, and water. In January 2025, TAQA Arabia and the Golden Triangle Economic Zone (GTEZ) inked a cooperation protocol for providing basic utilities in the 9.1 industrial zone in Safaga City. In November 2024, TAQA Arabia and France’s Voltalia International signed an MoU with the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy for the development of the Zafarana Wind Farm through a renewable energy project, with a capacity of 3.2 gigawatts of wind and solar capacity.
