Kuljit Ghata-Aura assumed his current role in September 2021, having joined Boeing in 2010. In May 2024, Boeing and Invest Qatar signed an MoU to establish Boeing Aerospace Doha LLC, to drive local aerospace industry growth. In May 2025, Boeing and GE Aerospace secured a $96 billion agreement with Qatar Airways and $14.5 billion from Etihad Airways to invest in Boeing 787 Dreamliner and 777X aircraft powered by GE Aerospace engines. It opened the Insitu Center of Excellence in Abu Dhabi in December 2024 to provide localized support for unmanned aerial systems in partnership with the Tawazun Council. Ghata-Aura is also an advisory board member for the Dubai Airshow.
