Zilkens joined UBS in 2012 and assumed his current position in 2023. In January 2025, UBS solidified its presence in Qatar, signing a contract with Msheireb Properties for a new UBS office in Msheireb Downtown Doha. Zilkens is also a member of the Swiss Business Council in the U.A.E. and a board member of UBS Saudi Arabia.
