Bräunl joined Porsche Middle East & Africa as CEO in 2019, before which he was based in China as vice president of marketing since 2014. Porsche recorded a 4% YoY increase in sales for 2024, delivering 9,509 cars across the Middle East, Africa, and India. Porsche launched its ‘Speed of Light’ advertising campaign film in March 2025, starring DJ David Guetta, to advertise its new EV models, the Macan Turbo Electric and Taycan Turbo GT. It was filmed at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in Dubai, and reached 15 million views on YouTube within the first four weeks. Bräunl has also been a guest professor at Tongji University in Shanghai since 2017.
