Ahmed became the CEO of RoyalJet in 2022. In November 2024, the airline expanded into Asia by deploying Bombardier Global 5000 aircraft to Malaysia for charter services. It also signed an MoU with Airbus in December 2024 to purchase three Airbus ACJ320neo jets, with rights for six additional aircraft. Ahmed has an international license in air traffic control operations from the Airways Corporation of New Zealand, and he is a Harvard-certified international negotiator.
