El Kettani was appointed to his current role in 2007. In September 2024, Attijariwafa bank launched Morocco’s first investment fund dedicated to Energy Efficiency projects - the African Energy Efficiency Fund (FAEE), in partnership with Econoler. During H1 2025, the bank reduced its scope 1 and 2 CO₂ emissions in Morocco by 6%, and by 33% between 2018 and 2024.
