In June 2025, alongside IHI, GE Vernova announced the completion of a new large-scale combustion test facility in Japan to develop a new gas turbine combustor operating on 100% ammonia by 2030. In April 2025, the company installed the new AGP XPAND upgrade at the 1,250 MW Bazyan Power Plant, operated by Taurus Energy, in Iraq.
