In 2024, Silal finalized its decarbonization plan with ADQ, cut 773,500 kilograms of CO₂ via logistics optimization, and began monthly carbon reporting across Silal and its subsidiaries, SAFCO International, Sherwood, and Al Bakrawe Group. SAFCO also avoided 101.08 tons of CO₂ by recycling 90,655 kilograms of plastic and 190,840 kilograms of paper. Al Qasimi has been in his role since June 2025.
