Savola Foods launched a Flue Gas Desulfurization plant in 2024 at its Saudi oil facility to meet stricter air standards. The company also replaced over 500,000 kilograms of traditional plastics annually with biodegradable alternatives in its oil packaging and partnered with Ita’am on the “Hajj Without Waste” program. The group reduced its energy use by 1.8% in 2024. Hassan joined the Savola Group in 2018 and was appointed Group CEO in July 2025.
