In 2024, Barakat launched the Barakat B2B Portal- B+ platform, which offers real-time CO₂ tracking to help customers and partners reduce emissions by choosing locally sourced products over imports, supporting sustainable agriculture, and informed decision-making. In January 2025, Barakat and Armela Farms announced the delivery of locally grown produce within 48 hours, reducing import dependency and lowering carbon emissions through shorter supply chains. D’Costa has been with the Barakat Group in his current role since 2020.
