In March 2024, EFG Holding’s subsidiary Corp-Solutions dedicated nearly $42 million to finance clients in the eco-tourism sector. In December, it allocated $5.2 million to financing large-scale plastic recycling in MENA. The EFG Foundation, founded in 2006, completed the installation of 23 on-grid solar energy systems across public schools in Luxor in March 2024 as part of its flagship ‘Naga’ El Fawal and El Deir Village project. Helmy assumed her current position in 2022, having first joined the company in 2006. She is also the CEO of the EFG Foundation.
