In November 2024, HMG received the LEED Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council, in recognition of its sustainable operations across energy reduction, water conservation, and enhanced waste management. HMG has reduced medical waste by 11% from 1,646 tons in 2022 to 1,467 tons in 2024. It also increased waste diversion from landfills by 33.2% and maintained a 12% diversion rate as part of its broader goal to cut landfill waste by 30% by 2030. The group reduced scope 1 emissions by 24% in 2024 compared to 2023. Al Nasser has been with HMG since 2011 and assumed his role in 2022.
