In May 2025, EGA, the world’s largest producer of premium aluminium, announced that its U.A.E. recycling facility—set to be the country’s largest—had reached 50% completion. The plant will process post and pre-consumer scrap into low-carbon billets and is expected to begin production in Q1 2026. EGA has also acquired and expanded recycling facilities in Germany and the U.S. EGA is the first company to produce aluminium using solar power worldwide. EGA’s CelestiAL solar aluminium is mainly supplied to the automotive industry, with customers including BMW Group. In July 2025, a deal with Brembo was announced. Bin Kalban has been CEO since 2020.
