Omantel is targeting a 45% reduction in scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 and Net Zero by 2050. It has redeemed 40,000 international renewable energy certificates in 2024 from the Dhofar Wind IPP through Nama Power and Water Procurement. In 2024, it recycled more than 200 metric tons of electronic waste, including 171.27 tons of batteries and 28.96 tons of IT devices. Its Ma’an volunteering team joined the Environmental Authority’s 10,000-tree planting project. Al Mamari, who became CEO in 2014, previously served as Omantel’s CFO.
