Schuhmacher has served as CEO of Emirates Hospitals Group since January 2024. The group operates 12 facilities with 240 beds and 2,000 staff. In 2024, the group in collaboration with The London Psychiatry Centre, introduced evidence-based psychiatric treatment services across its facilities. Schuhmacher is also a board member of SMC Healthcare in Saudi Arabia, VAMED in Switzerland, and Awali Hospital in Bahrain among others.
