Al-Farraj founded DMSCO in 1991 and launched its first pharmacy branch in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia, in 1993. In H1 2025, the group reported revenues of $893.5 million, with total assets reaching $1.4 billion.In December 2024, DMSCO and Amarox KSA signed an MoU during CPHI Middle East in Riyadh to support healthcare development and improve local service delivery. That same month, the company also signed an agreement with Sudair Pharmaceutical Company to produce essential medicines in Saudi Arabia. Al-Farraj is also the chairman of the board of Eastern Province Cement Company.
