Al Marar was appointed to his current role in 2024, where he leads the strategic, commercial, and operational management of EDGE Group, covering over 35 entities across five clusters including Platforms and Systems, Missiles and Weapons, Space and Cyber Technologies, and Homeland Security. EDGE has continued its growth trajectory, strengthening its industrial base through joint ventures in shipbuilding, radar systems, and electronic warfare solutions while expanding exports and strengthening sovereign manufacturing capabilities in the U.A.E. In June 2025, EDGE signed a $2.45 billion defense contract with the Kuwait Ministry of Defense for the supply of FALAJ3 62-metre missile boats.
