Okasha assumed his current position in September 2024. As of August 2025, Banque Misr operates more than 880 branches across Egypt and owns five branches in the U.A.E, one in France, and subsidiary banks in Lebanon and Germany. In Q1 2025, Banque Misr participated in syndicated loans as Lead Arranger & Bookrunner valued at $6 billion for sectors including telecom, real estate, food, and petroleum. Okasha holds several positions, including the Vice President of the Federation of Egyptian Banks, a board member of the Egyptian Money Laundering and Terrorist, Financing Combating Unit (EMLCU). Previously, Okasha was the chairman of the National Bank of Egypt.
