Al Mannai assumed his current position in 2020. In May 2025, QIC launched a personal cyber insurance to protect individuals from online fraud, phishing scams, identity theft, and other cyberattacks. As of September 2025, QIC Group recorded $5.6 billion in assets under management. The Group signed an MoU with Ooredoo Group in November 2024, to offer customer-centric insurance solutions, alongside plans to expand outside Qatar to Oman and Kuwait. Al Mannai was previously Deputy Group President and CEO for QIC’s MENA region.
