Alphonso has been CEO since 2018. Alef Education is operating in approximately 16,000 schools across the U.A.E., the U.S., Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and Morocco. In the first nine months of 2025, the company recorded revenues of $156 million. In May 2025, the company partnered with Microsoft and Core42 to accelerate its AI and cloud innovation roadmap and drive regional and global expansion. Alphonso is chairman of Miqyas Al Dhad, a standardized Arabic-language reading framework, and he is a council member for UNESCO’s SDG4 in Education and the Forbes Technology Council.
