Ababneh is co-developing an AI-driven Adaptive Bridging Radiation Therapy (ABRT) system for treating B-cell lymphoma in patients undergoing CAR T-cell therapy. The system adjusts radiation doses in real time based on tumor response, reducing unnecessary exposure while maintaining treatment effectiveness and preparing patients for immunotherapy. He authored a first-author manuscript summarizing the trial results, published in the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, and Physics. The trial was funded by a Varian research grant, and the innovation is now being implemented at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
