In 2024, Khalife and Ong cofounded Arable, a Saudi agritech startup developing, manufacturing, and operating hydroponic vegetable farming systems for desert climates, focusing on leafy greens and herbs. The company secured $3.7 million in funding from investors including Silicon Valley’s Plug and Play. Arable has built two facilities in Saudi Arabia with a total annual production capacity of 83–102 metric tonnes. It currently supplies vegetables locally, with plans to expand across the GCC.
