Poddar founded AÏZA by Amaani in 2023, a U.A.E.-based beauty and wellness platform. The company secured $3 million in a seed round for its debut Arab beauty brand, AÏZA, led by Peak XV’s Surge (formerly Sequoia Capital India & SEA). Since its soft launch in December 2024, the company has generated $1 million in sales from customers in the U.A.E. and Saudi Arabia as of November 2025. Prior to founding AÏZA by Amaani, Poddar led Sequoia Capital India & SEA’s expansion into the Middle East.
