Nik Storonsky cofounded and runs U.K.-based financial services firm Revolut, which was valued by private investors at $75 billion in November 2025. Storonsky owns an estimated 18% stake in Revolut, which offers everything from currency exchange and surcharge-free ATMs to global transfer payments and budgeting. Revolut, which has over 68 million customers worldwide, generated $6 billion in revenue in 2025. Storonsky, who got his start trading derivatives at Lehman Brothers, renounced his Russian citizenship in 2022, after Russia's invasion of Ukraine. In 2025, Revolut opened a Dubai office and secured a UAE operating license. Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala also acquired a stake in the company in 2024.
