Established in 1998, MOPCO is the largest nitrogen fertiliser plant in Egypt. In the first nine months of 2025, sales rose 42% to $388 million, while net profit dropped 33% to $162 million. In November 2025, it announced plans to invest up to $250 million to increase production capacity by 10% to 2.2 million tonnes annually. The Egyptian Petrochemicals Holding Company is the largest shareholder, with a 31.47% stake in MOPCO.
