Khalil assumed his current position in 2020. As of December 2025, Markaz managed almost $5 billion in assets under management, an 8% increase from 2024. In February 2025, Markaz acted as the lead manager and subscription agent for a $162 million supranational bond issuance for the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development. In November 2025, it served as a joint lead manager for National Bank of Kuwait’s $490 million Tier 2 subordinated bonds issuance. Khalil also oversees the firm’s international real estate platform across U.S., Europe, and U.K., which launched eight private funds in 2025.
