Tamer joined the family business in 1986 and has been at the helm since 2000. The group began with the first pharmacy in the Arabian Peninsula over 100 years ago. In December 2025, the group signed an MoU with the Saudi Ministry of Health to advance surgical robotics and strengthen healthcare services. In the same month, it partnered with Baxter International to improve advanced surgical capabilities and clinical nutrition in Saudi Arabia. Tamer also sits on the boards of SAJA Pharmaceuticals and the Pearl Initiative.
