Mahmoud and Omar Abdel Gawad cofounded Ibnsina Pharma in 2001. Mahmoud oversees commercial, operations, IT, quality assurance, and administration activities, while Omar oversees marketing, sales, finance, and investor relations. In H1 2026, the company recorded $829 million in net sales and had $803 million in assets. In January 2026, Ibnsina secured $28 million from EBRD to finance its green capex for a new warehouse, part of its expansion plan for up to 12 new warehouses. Mahmoud and Omar, along with board director Ahmed Abdel Gawad, own 15.6% of the company.
