Al Maktoum has led the Emirates Airline & Group since its founding in 1985. By the end of March 2026, Emirates’ global network spanned 152 cities in 80 countries. In FY2025-26, the group reported $41 billion in revenues. In 2025-26, the group invested $4.9 billion in new aircraft, facilities, equipment, and the latest technologies to support its growth plans. In May 2026, Emirates broke ground on a $5.1 billion ultra-modern engineering complex at Dubai South, set to become the world’s largest and most advanced aviation MRO facility, capable of servicing 28 wide-body aircraft simultaneously. Al Maktoum also chairs Dubai Airports, Dubai Duty Free, and flydubai, among others.
