Al-Omar assumed his current role in 2020. Saudia flew 37 million passengers in 2025, a 6% increase from 2024, conducted 203,900 total flights, with 597,000 flight hours. It connects 100 destinations worldwide, including 26 domestic routes within the Kingdom, as of July 2026. The group has a fleet of around 200 aircraft between Saudia and subsidiary flyadeal. Al-Omar chairs flyadeal and the Arab Air Carriers Organization and is a member of Saudi Arabian Airlines Corporation’s board and the International Air Transport Association (IATA)’s governors board.
