In 2026, EGA inaugurated the UAE’s largest aluminium recycling plant, Al Taweelah Recycling Plant, bringing EGA’s total aluminium recycling capacity to more than 400,000 tonnes annually. In 2025, EGA improved its greenhouse gas emissions intensity by 3%, keeping the company on track for its 2050 net-zero commitment. Its low-carbon and recycled aluminium sales reached a record of 196,000 tonnes, up 70% compared to 2024. It also signed energy agreements with TAQA, DUBAL Holding, and EWEC to decarbonize aluminum production and expand renewable and clean energy at Al Taweelah to at least 28% by 2032.
