In 2025, the DAMAC Hills 2 Community Centre earned LEED Gold certification under the operations and maintenance category, with plans to replicate similar certifications across other community assets. DAMAC Lagoons was awarded LEED Platinum certification, achieving 40% energy savings and delivering net-zero public outdoor water consumption. DAMAC is also a signatory to the UN Global Compact and a member of the Emirates Green Building Council. DAMAC announced a free, browser-based Community Carpool platform, going live in April 2026, to help more than 3,500 employees share commutes and cut costs, traffic and CO₂. Sajwani has been in his current role since 2014.
