In 2025, Omantel submitted its first CDP disclosure to benchmark corporate ESG transparency, reduced scope 1 and 2 emissions by 32% from its 2023 baseline, procured 100,000 MWh renewable energy certificates linked to the Manah II Solar IPP, and sent 157.19 metric tonnes of e-waste to certified recyclers. It also introduced an automation platform to track scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions across owned and third-party sites. In December 2025, it signed an agreement with be’ah to strengthen Oman’s e-waste management ecosystem. Baitfadhil became CEO in 2025, having first joined Omantel in 2005.
