In 2025, Nakilat continued its fleet-wide energy efficiency measures, reducing carbon intensity by 32.4% in 2025 against the 2008 IMO baseline, surpassing the IMO 2030 target of 30%. It expanded its scope 3 emissions reporting to include ship repair, maintenance, LNG conversion and offshore construction activities under the GHG Protocol's Capital Goods category. It also continued implementing its Carbon Reduction Roadmap to 2030, targeting a 25% reduction in carbon intensity through biofuel trials, LNG conversion initiatives, and next-generation vessel technologies.
